The artist mixed abstract with realism in this painting.  “About That Dream” was a reflection of the dream that the late Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. wrote about in his famous speech, I Have a Dream, that was delivered on August 28, 1963, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, in Washington.  It is a question posed to the viewer as to their own reflection as to the fulfillment of that “Dream”.
