The Eleventh Hour is the first oil painting in the Inspired Truth series.  This painting is inspired by the power of God to rescue in the final moment of distress.  This painting is a concept painting with realistically drawn elements. Harris originally intended to complete the painting in charcoal but decided that the intensity should match the other paintings.  The style is a vignette.  In this classic style, the white space acts as a guide directing the eye towards the focal point in the painting. Through the sharp contrast of white and shades of gray, the artist invites the onlooker to image themselves in this situation.
